Plastic Object: Daily Create #4

Assignment: Make a photograph of a plastic object that you've used today.

We are granted miles of freedom with the daily create assignments. I've been very interested in make-up recently and have just got a new Lord and Taylor eye palette for Christmas. I honestly think it's gorgeous. The colours are beautiful and the whole look of the packaging is so clean and inviting. I thought it would be a great subject for a photograph.
I wanted to make the colours pop in this picture but I still wanted there to be an interesting depth to it. I like the vanishing lines and I especially like the texture that the focused eye shadows give to the picture. I know that it's not good to have the focal point right in the centre, however since this had a grid pattern to it, I thought the rhythm would benefit if I did.
